85 Formula 272 SR-1 build quality & performance?

I'm considering an '85 Formula 272 SR-1 with twin 454s. I've mainly owned smaller runabouts, so I'm not too well-versed in the older Formulas. What's the build quality like? Are they heavy, fast, and good for rough waters? Any feedback would be really helpful

Those old Formulas are tanks and great glass layup, built for offshore chop. Heavy? Yep. Fast? With twin 454s, absolutely. The ride's smooth, but expect big fuel bills and a workout on the trim
