Flag Mount Options for 310 SS

Finally getting around to mounting a flag on my 2018 310 SS. I've held off mostly because I don't love the idea of drilling into the fiberglass, but I'd really like something that's good at speed and holds up in times when water is rougher and to that effect I've been eyeing a few stainless rail mount options that clamp onto the stern rails, but I'm not sure what works best with the shape and angle of the factory rails on the 310. Some mounts seem like they're for smaller tubing or flatter rails, and I'm not sure how much flex or twist they can handle before they start to loosen up or rattle, wanna sort this before the season pulls up in full

Great call on putting off the drilling. I think rail mount flag poles are definitely the way to go for your 310 SS. Just make sure to check the diameter of your rail, most mounts fit either 7/8" or 1" tubing. Have you had a chance to measure yours? Knowing that will really help you find a solid fit that won't rattle around

Yeah, I would also say you're smart to avoid drilling!
Generic rail mounts often rattle or loosen due to the curved or angled rails.
Look for stainless steel mounts with adjustable, conforming clamps, ideally with rubber inserts for grip and protection.
Some specialized contoured mounts exist for specific rail bends.
Those are your best bet if you can find one!

I had the same hesitation with my 310. I went with a Sea-Dog stainless rail mount for 1" tubing, I didnt need any drilling needed and after adding a shim for the rail angle and using Loctite, it's been rock solid even in rough water, cheap mounts just didn't hold up at speed.

That sounds awesome. Using shims and Loctite is such a smart way to keep the rail nice and secure without having to drill. Love those tips
