I'm looking for information on the 2001/02 37/40 PC's performance and fuel consumption with Yanmar 6LY-STE 440 HP diesels. Does anyone have practical experience or have they looked at boattestscom? I'm curious to know how the boat handles the additional weight aft and normal fuel consumption. I'm also interested in how much maintenance these engines require. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

It's a solidly performing combo and you're looking at around 60 to 70 liters of fuel per hour, which isn't too terrible. The engine isn't too heavy so it can handle some aft weight well. As for maintenance, as long as you don't skip on anything you shouldn't experience any significant issues

Absolutely! That setup looks great, and honestley, the fuel burn seems pretty reasonable considering everything. Just curious, do you usualy keep it at cruise RPM, or do you really push it to its limits often?

Well the 6LYs are known to be reliable if you stay on top of maintenance. :) Fuel burn is definitely manageable at cruise. Just expect higher if you're running it hard. Agree with @4mulaFu3l here. What's with the username man hahaha
