installing Weaver Snap Davits on 2010 Formula 34 PC seeking advice

I own a 2010 Formula 34 PC and I'm thinking about adding a set of Weaver RBD100 Snap Davits for my Achilles 10'2" Hypalon inflatable. I'm curious if anyone has experience with this setup on a similar swim platform. I'd really appreciate any advice on the best mounting positions, whether I need to reinforce the platform, and what kind of adhesive or fasteners work best for securing the pads. I'm also wondering how it impacts the clearance of the swim platform when the dinghy is mounted.

I got no personal hookups with those Weaver davits, but reinforcing that platform sounds smart. Clearance might get tight, you can maybe slap some heavy-duty fasteners and pads for a good hold

I've used Weaver davits on a similar platform, reinforcing with backing plates is very important and also mount near platform edges for clearance, you should also use marine-grade stainless bolts and marine adhesive

Absolutely, adding backing plates is definitely a smart move, I've done that myself too! Are you thinking of placing yours close to the edges for more clearance, or are you leaning towards a more centered position?

Agree here with @4mulaFu3l that re-inforcing with backing plates is a must, especially on that size platform. Make sure you mount closer to the outer edges to keep things clear though?

To strengthen the swim platform, add backing plates, use marine-grade fasteners, and make sure to mount them close to the edges to allow for enough clearance with the dinghy.
