I just picked up a 2004 Formula 27PC, but the air conditioner was removed by the previous owner. All the wiring, ductwork, and thermostat are still in place and look usable. How tricky is it to drop in a new unit?, I'd also appreciate any recommendations for reliable aftermarket marine AC systems.

If the wiring and ductwork are intact, you're already where you wanna be :) You're ahead!!! So for aftermarket marine AC systems, I trust only either Webasto or Dometic units.

I'll look into Webasto and Dometic, it sounds like they're good picks. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction

You'll mainly have to pick a unit that fits the existing space and matches the power supply, the installation mostly involves mounting, connecting the hoses, and hooking up the controls

I figured the hardest part would be matching the size and power, it is good to know the wiring and ducts can still be reused, makes this feel way more doable now.
